Welcome and What to Expect

Welcome to the Live&LearnRN Blog!

I want to use this first blog post to introduce myself. I am a nurse, passionate about patient safety, clinician protection, and medical writing. I started my own company a few years ago when I decided that it was time to pursue my writing passion (it had been on the back burner to focus on my nursing career long enough). I love taking care of people, and I also love teaching, whether in the form of patients, nurses, other medical professionals, or the layperson. I have a deep devotion to nursing research and applied statistical analysis in nursing. My future plans are to continue to expand my medical writing career and begin consulting for research based initiatives and for organizations to help educate our nation's nurses on how to leverage research for their benefit in patient care and nursing practice.

This blog will focus on the aforementioned research and practical statistics application from a nurse for nurses.
